Car (1k)  The Spring Hill Trip

Spring Hill Sign (21k)

Arrival

After what seemed like endless hours of driving, we finally arrived in Spring Hill.  I was a bit surprised how small of a town it really was, but most of the roads were 2 lanes each way out of the city.  Nashville was about a 45 minute trip from Spring Hill.

The majority of us stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Spring Hill.  For the low price of the rooms, this place was excellent!  If you plan on making the trip yourself, be sure to stay here.

The frigid sub-arctic temperatures of the Deebs suite acted as home base when we weren't out in the Tennesee heat. Some of us did spend quite a bit of time in the parking lot just talking, checking out each others cars, detailing our rides, attempting to install audio equipment, changing tires for the autocross, installing driving lamps, checking computer codes on the PDT, and much much more.

On our first morning in Spring Hill, many of us dined at a local cafe for breakfast.   After answering a few of the owner's questions about who we were and the purpose of our trip, she made a call to the local newspaper, Car Country News.  A reporter did an interview and took some pictures for an article about The Saturn Performance Club that was in the July 23, 1998 issue of Car Country News.  Click HERE to see the article.
