Gingerman Raceway - Tech Day

More cars (24k)
There's so many they won't fit in one picture.

Monday (July 2) was our tech day in the paddock at Gingerman Raceway in Southhaven MI.  Cars that would be driving on the track were put on jackstands and given a thorough inspection.  There was plenty of time to take care of any safety issues or worn parts that were found.

Security (17k)

Brothers Ben and Alex P were the designated security officers for the event.  If anyone felt insecure, they were there to help.

In addition to using the tower's garage, a canopy was also set up for work on the cars.  Ben P found a comfortable spot under the canopy for yet another nap (not very professional for a security officer, in my opinion.)

Throughout the day, more Saturns arrived and added to line of cars that were parked in the paddock.

Dave, Bill H, and Jane (of the Planet 6 crew) brought out Bill's 92 SL2.  He was in the process of converting it to an ITA-spec car, and we can see a bit of his cage above.

Strut insert replacement (21k)
Swapping a broken strut insert on the SPC project car.

Some of the work that was accomplished during tech day: swapped a broken strut insert on the SPC project car, replaced rear wheel bearings on Mike N's & Tommy B's cars, and brake fluid flushes, pad swaps, and tire swaps for almost everyone.
