The 2004 SPC Rally

Awards Ceremony

The awards ceremony was held on Saturday evening during a meal at the Outback Steakhouse.

Eric W and Michael L had to leave early and couldn't join us, so we'd presented them with their awards earlier in the afternoon.

For the second year in a row, Eric's supercharged SC2 took top honors in our car show - and with one look under the hood, it was easy to see why.  Eric was presented with a set of spinner hubcaps as a way to add even more bling to his ride.

Kevin K received the busted knuckle award, in recognition of both the work he's put into his car and the work he's put into the club's ITA race effort.  He was presented with a front knuckle that was broken in one of the season's races.

Matt B received the agricultural award, in recognition of his numerous off-track excursions at Gingerman.  He was presented with a bag of grass seed to repair the damage, and a compass to find his way back to the track.

Here's Denise B receiving a plane as her airborne award.  Being able to see sky under her car as it left the track in Gingerman's turn 6 is a feat worthy of recognition.  Especially since she recovered from the spin without any damage to herself or the vehicle.

The Movie

A bunch of us went to see The Bourne Supremacy.  I liked the original, and it was a pretty good movie with lots of action.  This movie has a lot of fast, jerky motion so don't sit too close to the screen or it will be tough to see everything that's going on.

You can read about it in the IMDB HERE.
