Gameworks |
|
After the autoshow, Gameworks in Schaumburg IL was the place to be on Saturday night. If you're not familiar with Gameworks, it's a huge arcade for adults with a lot of driving & motorsports games. You can see more info about Gameworks HERE.
|
Deebs & Tapp doing some offroad rally, and
Christena getting tossed around.
The number of driving games at Gameworks is unbelievable. Add to that a great sound system, bar, and restaraunt, and you can see why we visit often and end up spending a lot of time there.

MSR Racing |
On Sunday
morning, the group was invited to take a look at a unique race car under construction.
Rich at MSR Racing, who is a long-time
friend of the cub, has been hard at work recently to get this car ready for the upcoming
season. What makes this car so special? It may be the first Formula Vee car in
existence that is fully operated by hand controls. While it's tough for most of us
to envision driving a car with no pedals, imagine doing so at speed in the heat of
competition. If you're not familiar
with Formula Vee cars, take a look on Rich's website HERE.
Weighing in at only 1025 lbs with driver, its 65 horsepower can put it past 140 miles per
hour. |
|
It seems like Rich was more proud of this mangled piston than he was of all of the team's trophies.

As our weekend came to a close on Sunday afternoon, we all packed up and headed back home. It was quite an enjoyable time - the auto show, great meals & conversation, seeing Rich's cool car, and talking trash while racing slot cars. Interested in joining us for club events in the future? Take a look at the Saturn Performance Club website for a schedule of future activities, and join the SPC mailing list to know what's going on.
