The 2006 SPC Rally |
Jeff P and Tapp waiting for the green.
Kyle E showed up in his 95 SC2, and brought his brother and dad with him too. Our events usually provide fun for the entire family. |

An accurate count
of runs & timeslips is important. There is sort of an unofficial
competition while we're at the dragstrip to set the record for the most
runs. But since it is difficult going nonstop for several hours, I
needed a clever scheme... Here Denise
is being belted in for a few runs in my '92. And since the rule states
that the count is based on runs made by the chassis and not the driver... it
was time to go looking for a few more guest drivers. |

Here is Denise in the near lane up against her husband Jeff in the far lane. Jeff knows who's boss - now it's time to show him. Click HERE for video of the run (1.3 mb).

Part of the group having lunch at a local
restaraunt. Mike N, Lane, Kevin K, Deebs, Denise, Jeff P, and Tapp.
After several hours
of test and tune and smack talk practice, we had a chance to square off in
the final bracket. Winners of the day:
First place: Tapp, 95 SC2 It sure was a heck of a hot day at the
dragstrip. With temperatures nearing 100 degrees (and everyone's cars
running times at least a second slower than expected), we were glad to get
on the road on our way back to Joliet. |
Wednesday evening's activities included dinner, followed by a movie at Hollywood Boulevard. Most of us are fans of the original Clerks movie, so we decided to see Clerks 2. I can't remember the last movie I saw that was this funny. You can read more about it in the Internet Movie Database HERE. After our sides stopped
hurting, it was back to the hotel for a good night's sleep. |
