Here are a number of the Knights preparing as the games were about to begin. They participated in sword fights, spear throwing, ax battles, jousting, and a number of other events.

| The fighting performances were exciting, and most of the time, pretty convincing. There were often sparks when swords made contact, and the sound of impact was quite loud. These guys were giving it a lot of effort, and you could tell that they occasionally took a hit a little bit harder than they would have liked. Click HERE for some video of one of the battles (2 mb). At the left, you can see the King on his horse. In addition to the elaborate period-correct costumes that all the performers wore, the horses were also dressed very ornately.

| Here are two Knights on horses galloping at quite a speed toward a row of rings. Their joust accuracy was amazing, as it needed to be, in order to capture the rings.

After dinner and the show were over, the Knights, King, and Princess were seated in order to take pictures with children and sign autographs. We had to make some of the children wait a bit, but it was worth it - we got our picture with the King and told him how we enjoyed the performance.

| After a long day Saturday, it was back to the hotel to relax, enjoy a few beverages, and talk shop for at least a little while before turning in for the night. Sunday morning, we began our trips home. It was quite an enjoyable time - the auto show, great meals & conversation, and our experience at Midieval Times.
