The Saturn Welcome Center
The Saturn Welcome Center is very close to the plant and serves as a meeting place for all the factory tour groups. While there, you can visit the Saturn store, view many different types of exhibits, take a look at Saturn ads & magazine reviews, watch short videos, and take a look at a lot of other interesting stuff.
The Welcome Center gives the look and feel of being on a farm - there is even a barn right next door.

Myself and some dummy waiting for our tour of the plant.

Unfortunately, cameras weren't allowed on the plant tour. These are some postcards I bought in the Welcome Center's gift shop. Luckily, the GM strike had not yet affected plant operations and we were able to see production in action.

Our tour was a bit more detailed than the normal visitor or car club tour. We got to see many different areas of the plant and witness quite a bit of the assembly & production process. The detailed explanation lost foam casting and how the engines are made was one of the more interesting points of our tour.
