The Dragstrip

  

  

   
We arrived at US41 International Dragway in Morocco Indiana on the morning of Wednesday, August 2.  The dragstrip was exclusively ours for half a day.  After several hours of timed runs and plenty of test & tune time, a bracket would be held to see who went home with top honors.

That's me at the left.  I usually don't get any photos of myself at events, so a special thanks goes to Mike N for this photo and a handful of the others used in this section.
  
  
Rally dragstrip tradition requires a certain amount of smack talk to get in the spirit of the event.

Jeff P: "You are going down!"

Tapp: "Okay."

But put him in his car at with an eye on the tree, and everything changes. 

Tapp took first place honors in the bracket race that followed our test & tune period.
  
  
Mike N's SL2 had to sit out this event due to an ailing clutch.  Unfortunately, he would not give in to the chants of, "finish it off!!".
