Subwoofer Enclosure The sub enclosure contains two 2.5 cubic foot ported chambers, each housing two JL Audio 10W5 ten-inch subwoofers. The low end extension is excellent, the sound is tight, controlled, and detailed, and the SPL greatly exceeded my highest expectations (see my best SPL HERE) even though the system was built with sound quality as a priority.

The front of the enclosure is covered with a separate carpeted baffle board which effectively seals off the trunk from the airspace within the car. No bass in the trunk means absolutely no rattles from the rear of the car. The rear seats still fold up into their normal position and retain full functionality. Polk Audio 6.5" Coaxials (MM 6520) run mono to provide rear fill and are mounted in the stock locations in the rear deck.
