Go Karts

We were psyched. This was the very track where we were kicked out for the last two years in a row. Could we make it a third? We were ready to try our hardest.

Driving one of these karts while filming was challenging, and it was difficult to drive a good line.

Once the tires warmed up, the karts were enjoyable to drive and easy to put into a predictable drift.

The Movie

With "The Fast and the Furious" being the number one movie at the time, it looked like something that a bunch of car guys (and gal) would really enjoy.

Other than a few good action scenes, the movie was a bit disappointing. Things we learned from this movie:

- With NOS, you can break your tires loose at 140 miles per hour.
- While watching a movie, it sure seems like it takes 30 seconds for a ten-second car to run the quarter.
- Cook your motor and it's no problem. Just wait 10 minutes and it will be fine.
- Spray too much, and colored washers will fall out from behind your dash and your passenger floorboard will break.

The next day, we just couldn't stop talking about this movie. Ben even put together a bottle from the box of discarded aircraft parts he had in his car from his job.
