| Fireworks & the Party |
The party in the hangar, and Justin & Gary
enjoying a cold one.
| We made our way
to the home of a Deebs family friend (back in Chicago). This house just happened to
have an attached airplane hangar, and was in a subdivision where all the homes bordered a
private airstrip. There were hundreds of friends & neighbors everywhere as a
blues band was playing right outside the hangar doors. There were even plane rides
for anyone who wanted one. It was
very odd to be hanging out inside the hangar listening to the music, while a plane flies
by only 30 feet outside its door. |
| One of Deebs' brothers puts on fireworks shows as a hobby. And not the little stuff either - huge shells with full electronic control.

This was an impressive show that was being put on to be enjoyed by such a small group of neighbors.

After the smoke cleared, we spent a few more minutes at the party and then headed back toward the hotel for a good night's sleep. Damn, were we tired.
