Deebs & Tapp, whose hard work make the
Rally possible.
On Wednesday
morning (July 4), we checked out of the hotel, caught some breakfast, and headed over to
the SPC clubhouse. Deebs and Tapp handed out the awards from the week's activities. Some of the awards & recipients: "Terrify the Peasants"
award: Gary H, for his amazing precision driving on street tires & stock
suspension out on the track. * The 94 SC2 SPC project car was excluded from the awards.

The group helped Deebs & Tapp unload the trailer (which had been nicknamed "the toybox" during the rally) and roll the project car back into the garage.

Deebs was anxious to start tearing into the car in an atttempt to diagnose the engine problems it had experienced at Gingerman Raceway the day before. |

One by one, the group said their goodbyes and started the long trip home. We had looked forward to and planned this week for a long time in advance, and it was hard to believe it was over. We had a great time on the track, talking on the radios in transit, trying to maintain the caravan through the toll booths, lending a hand on each others' cars, and making new friends.
