We left Milan dragstrip and headed over to Ken's (Wazz) house in Farmington MI for the afternoon.  He was kind enough to invite the group over for some burgers, dogs, brew, and games.

Ken works for Saturn/GM, and is the platform engineering manager for the L-Series.  He also took part in Saturn's One Lap of America effort.  Many of us had first met Ken when spectating at the One Lap events.  (See the event archives for One Lap coverage).

It was great to hear stories from Ken's One Lap experience as well as his 15 years working for Saturn & GM.  For enthusiasts like us, hearing about what happens behind the scenes is always interesting.

Since it was beginning to get dark, we thanked Ken & wife Sharon for their hospitality.  We made our way to our hotel in Madison Heights MI.

Bourne Identity (12k)Ticket (7k)

Even though we were tired after returning to the hotel, we didn't feel like turning in just yet.  Within view of our hotel was a theater, so a few of us decided to take in a movie.  We saw "The Bourne Identity", with Matt Damon - and it had a perfect blend of action and along with its exciting story.  One of our favorite parts of the movie was an Austin Mini chase scene (go figure).

Henry Ford Museum

Early morning departures are difficult (especially when on vacation), but on Thursday (August 8) we dragged ourselves out of bed to visit the Henry Ford Museum.  But not before some car-guy messing around, of course.

Many of us piled into Deebs' Tahoe for the trip to the Henry Ford Museum.  On many occasions, we've found it much easier to navigate in traffic when the vehicle looks like it's just about to go out of control.  Other drivers seem to just get out of the way...
