Steve (MI) and Todd C (MI) who work for Saturn corporate showed up at the dragstrip with a tricked-out 2002 SC2 with an amazing paint job, along with a pre-production 2003 ION 4-door.  We really enjoyed taking a close look at the ION, which wasn't even available for sale yet.

Christena trailered her nitrous-powered SL2 from Ohio, which was the fastest Saturn at the dragstrip.  Although she regularly runs in the 13s, Christena ran a 14.33 due to an ailing transmission.

Above, Mike L (WI) lines up with Tyler R (CA), and shows off timeslips from the amazing number of runs we were all able to get.  Click HERE for video of Mike & Tyler (776k, requires Indeo 5 codec available HERE).  Be sure to turn up your sound.

Wally (MI) brought out his turbo Miata for the day which didn't even break a sweat running 13s.

In this photo, you can see him admiring the exhaust on the SC2 that Saturn Steve brought.  This seems to be a trend (see this photo from my 2000 Chicago Auto Show event coverage).

The bracket eliminations were won by Pete A (IL - he's the tall guy in the photo) in the car that he and his father co-drove.  His last two runs included hitting his dial-in dead on, and running only a thousandth off.  Wow - and it wasn't even his car.

Our rally is a true family event with something for everyone.  In fact, Pete's family had three generations in attendance.
