The 2006 SPC Rally

Ooooh, look at those.

Deebs and Tapp drove in shifts to keep Deebs' 98 on the track for virtually the entire day.  With Hoosier tires and Carrera suspension, it was quite a handler and a load of fun.

Here is video of a full lap on Autobahn Country Club's South course while tailing John in his Mazdaspeed MX5.

We were joined by a Speed World Challenge Corvette owned by Blackdog Racing.  The level of preparation of this car was astounding, and it had an exhaust note to it that won't soon be forgotten.

In this photo, we see SPC member Mike N wearing a the jersey of a track official.  Since the clutch in Mike's Saturn wasn't up to the task, he hung out with the track's official photographer for day.  Mike's job in real life is a professional photographer.  With his camera in hand, pointers from the track pro, and the full access that the jersey & golf cart gave him to the track, he was able to go places where regular spectators can't and capture some phenomenal shots.

While I was driving during the sessions that I spent on the track, Mike was able to take many of the vehicle-in-motion photos I've included in this section.  Thanks Mike!

Special note: Interested in seeing all of Mike's full-size original photos?  There are 562 super high-resolution photos totaling 760 megabytes in size, and ALL of them can be viewed in the members section of the SPC website.  They've been made available for all those with Senior membership status.  A special thank you goes out to Mike for sharing them with fellow members!

This day on the track was spectacular, and one of the best we've ever had.  The Autobahn Country Club facility is top-notch, and their people are always great to work with.

It was time to pack up the cars.  We were all hungry and needed to wind down, so it was off to a reception being held for us at a local dyno shop.
