Chicago Auto Show '06 |
After we'd all had our fill of amazing and beautiful cars, we decided to have dinner at Midieval Times in Shaumburg, IL. Ever see the movie The Cable Guy? This was sure to be a unique dining experience. If you're not familiar with what an evening at this restaraunt involves, be sure to visit their website to take a look.

We arrived early, and took in what this huge complex has to offer. Once each of us was fitted for a crown, we toured the dungeon to take a look at reproductions of Midieval torture devices. Kevin K visited the gift shop, but was not able to escape it without buying a sword. Yes, a real sword. Unfortunately, they wouldn't let him take it to dinner.
|
We also got a close-up look at a beautiful Falcon. This was one of the birds that performs in the nightly show.

The inside of the arena was huge.

We made our way into the arena and found our seats, as the show was about to begin. We were in the yellow and red section, and you can see it to the right in the photo above. The different colored seating sections correspond to different Knights, who would be competing in the evening's games.

Doug was the only member of the group brave enough (and with pockets deep enough) to get a drink. This daiquiri had to be at least a half a gallon. It was frightening.
